Whale-watching boats
Research has shown that boats are going to fast when they get near a whale and they are hurting the whales in a article that i read on Boston Globe is that the boats are supposed to slow they speed down as they get near a whale and they speed should be going from 15 miles per hour to less than 8 miles an hour within about a half-mile near a whale. Poeple spend $35 to $40 to see this unique animals in the sea but what they don't realize is that the boats are going to fast and they are hurting the whales.
In the summer as many as 20 to 40 boats seal away in the seas hunting for whales and the industry is making about $30 million a year.
I think that we should be more carefull when dealing with animals like whales because its easy to hurt them and i think we should never try to hurt them or do anything that will hurt them. I think that if the boats go with the speed thats needed then the whales will not be hurt and people will enjoy watching the whales.

The article i read was called "Girl gives dramatic details in abuse case." this article was all about this now fourteen year old girl, who siffered severe head trama, by her fosterparents.
I think it is horrible that anyone, especially a fosterparent, since you are choosing to take care of a child, would do something like this. You were not force to adopt a child, you chose too.
I think people need to learn to make better decisions, and understand they are putting someone else's life into effect.

According to Child Protective Services spokesman Darrell Azar, 31 of 53 girls ages 14 to 17 have children, are pregnant or both at the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint sect in Utah. The Salt lake Tribune newspaper, based in Utah says that many children have been taken away from their mothers and placed into foster care. Only mothers who breast feed their children who are under 12 months of age are alowed to keep them. The polygamist ranch was raided earlier this month under suspicion of incest and child abuse. Teens as young as 13 were being "spiritually" married to men over twice their age and becoming mothers. After the ranch was invaded, its residents lied to police about their age, causing the police to resort to an "eyeball" test, where the women and girls were lined up and looked at to determine their age. I personally think that it is a good idea to remove the children form the situation, however, I do not believe that the Child Protective Services are doing and adequate job. Siblings should have been kept toghether and with their mothers. The real problem is the "spiritual" marriages between children and adults and underage pregnancy.

The article I read was about how whale watching is endangering certain whales within the U.S. According to the article, people spend $35 to $40 in order to see these whales in the water, but they are not realizing how the money that is being wasted is killing the whales.
The article that I read about how the Texas Child Services went into a polygamist home and took over 400 children and put them in a Foster care system and Shelter. I really think that it was a good idea to tack the children's away form that kind of home. But I total disagree with the fact that they took away the children's from their mother. I think that every child need there mother no matter what going on there family homes.

I think police shouldn't search teenagers houseses to check for guns ,because it's not going to make a difference

High gas prices are good,
Perhaps with enough added discomfort from high fuel prices, we will begin to consider cutting back or even seriously explore alternate modes of transportation. Sooner or later, our attachment to the automobile will be dust in the wind? "I think it is great that gas prices are rising. Hopefully it will force our country to wake up and realize how precious our resources are. Our world is a wonderful place, and we take it for granted. Our nation is full of people who do nothing but consume for the sake of looking good to impress other people."

High gas prices
The gas prices are so messed up because gas companies make up there own gas prices and is messing with the environment a little to much to make more money than what they should be I think sence this has happened people should ride bikes or motorcycles to lower there cost in gas also just use cars or something in winter. Also that gas companies shouldn’t be able to do that.
