The letter will show your classmates your thoughts of such things as what the book is about, why it is good/boring/confusing, what the author is trying to accomplish, or why a particular character acted a certain way.

Character Log: Write about Harriet’s life as you read her book, noting essential details and discussing the complexity of her decisions. Questions to consider: Why did she act or think a certain way in a certain situation? What does she believe in? What motivates her? What is important to her and why? How does she change and why? What is her relationship with others in the story and how does that relationship change?
