Nat Turner was a African American who has bin threw a lot. By that i mean killin 57 White people and freed 50 Blacks. He bassically made history because of that.

I think he was one of the many people who fought for his freedom. He made sure he would be free and do what he do. I respect him for that ut i feel he did it the wrong way. Other people struggled and got their way. Well some.

At the end he was on the run and ended up gettin hanged. The slave master decided because of him, they are not gonna give the rest of the slaves religious instructions to keep them from m urdering their slave masters. They did not want them to end up doin what Nat did. At the end, it did not work.

Nat Turner was a black slave who was willing to give up his life for freedom. In his fight for freedom he freed 50 slaves but killeed 57 white people which included women, children and men.

The slave masters were afraid for their lives because since Nat turner had killed so many white people, that meant that any slave could kill them.

Also the slave masters were hoping that the slaves would consider slaves to go to church for they could be brainwashed. Since the slaves religion was involved with voo doo and wichcraft, the preacher was convincing them that it was a sin.

This quote meant that the slave masters was scared. They thought they was going to get killed. These slave masters came up with that absurd idea because of the several white folks that was killed by Nat Turner,a black slave. This incident had slave masters terrified for their lives. The masters had decided to have their slaves go to church. Sending the slaves to church was suppose to give the slaves a peace of mind and hoping nomore of the slave masters would be killed. The slaves was getting revenge on the slave masters because they was treated cruely. Nat Turner killed 56 whites and freed 50 slaves.

what this quote means is that they were trying to give the slaves a little bit of religion because nat turner killed all the white people and let the slaves go free, so since nat turner did that the masters were probably scared that their slaves will do it to them so basicaly the masters let them believe and get to know the lord so that they wouldn't do anything crazy or try to kill anyone, but that doesnt mean all the slaves are going to believe in God. The masters need to go to church and try to get to know the lord because some masters treat slaves really bad like whipping, slapping, burning. The masters did alot of stuff to make the slaves feel like they need to kill them because of what they did to their slaves. Just because of Nat Turner and alot of others if they didn't do anyting about it there will probably still be slavery. But since Nat Turner sucessfully fought slave masters back all the other slave masters were scared to death because who know what the other slaves were going to do?
